Infrared Sauna Therapy

What is Infrared?

An infrared sauna is a type of sauna that uses light to make heat. This type of sauna is sometimes called a far-infrared sauna. "Far" describes where the infrared waves fall on the light spectrum. A traditional sauna uses heat to warm the air, which in turn warms your body. Infrared heats the body directly rather than simply heating the air. By using infrared technology, the heat penetrates human tissue, and the energy it delivers is just the right nudge cells need to stimulate warmth, growth, and release.

Detoxification through sweat is a centuries old practice. Modern environmental medicine has proven that sweat is more than temperature regulation. It is also part of the body's elimination system. It's one of the best ways to detox your body.

Infared is a more enjoyable & productive sweat that is a good choice for people who can't tolerate the heat of a traditional sauna. It offers an all-around pleasant experience by warming the body from within instead of just heating the air around you. This provides a unique opportunity for health benefits beyond a traditional sauna.

Nature brings us infrared light. It’s the healthy, healing rays that come from the sun. Infrared helps plants bloom - just the right amount helps stems grow fast and strong.

Unlike sunbathing, infrared heat therapy is completely healthy and safe for your skin. You can relax in an infrared sauna, and it will never cause your skin to burn.

What is Red-Light Therapy

Red light therapy involves the use of low-level red light wavelengths emitted directly through the skin. Unlike more intense forms of light treatments such as laser or UV, RLT doesn’t cause any harm to the skin surface. Some of the benefits include skin health, anti-aging, wound healing, muscle recovery, pain relief, inflammation reduction, hair growth, improved mood, and sleep enhancement.

What is Chromotherapy?

Chromotherapy works on various energy points to help balance your body via the full spectrum of visible light. Each color possesses frequencies of a specific vibration, and each vibration is related to different physical symptoms. With regular infrared sauna color light therapy, you can help balance your body’s energy wherever it is lacking. Chromotherapy sauna benefits include physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual healing.

FAQ's

What is the difference between an infrared sauna and traditional sauna?

Traditional dry saunas use temperatures as high as 185 to 195 degrees F, which can overwhelm those who are more sensitive to the heat. Infrared saunas use a much milder temperature environment of between 130 to 145 degrees F. However, because the heat of infrared saunas penetrates the body’s tissues increasing the core body temperature, they are able to cause a more vigorous and detoxifying sweat at lower temperature.

Humidity: Infrared saunas do not use steam and rely fully on the heat from the infrared heaters for overall effects. Because infrared penetrates human tissue instead of heating the air around the skin’s surface, they are seven times more effective at detoxifying the body.

Technology: A traditional dry sauna uses a stove to heat the air. As the temperature of the air increases around you, the temperature of your body increases. Infrared saunas use infrared heaters to emit a specific wavelength of infrared light. Your skin absorbs this wavelength, causing your body’s temperature to rise. The sweat produced by a traditional sauna might have only 3% toxins, while infrared can produce sweat comprised of up to 20% toxins.

Do you clean the sauna?

Yes. Infrared light naturally eliminates the presence of viral, bacterial, and fungal toxins. Additionally, our staff cleans and sanitizes the saunas after each use

How long will it take my core body temperature to return to normal?

It is normal for the body to take as long as one hour to return to its regular temperature. However, most guests report cool down to be about 15-30 minutes upon exiting the sauna.

How often should I use the sauna?

An infrared sauna is safe to be used 2-3 times a week. Remember, infrared sauna is a wonderful enhancement to any wellness routine.
